It’s never too late to try something new says the Belfast Festival of Learning!
Whatever age we are, learning something new can give us greater confidence and self-esteem, better mental health and wellbeing and a better quality of life.
That’s why the Belfast Festival of Learning has lined up a week long programme of free events themed learning through education, learning for life, learning to live together and learning for and in work – which will showcase the first class learning network and opportunities which exist in the city from Monday, 5 March until Sunday 11 March.
Just some of the events on offer include a Crafts Workshop at Conway Mill, a DJ workshop for adults with learning difficulties at Arts Resource Centre, Growing your own food at the Connswater Street Garden and many many more.
Danny Power, Chairperson of Belfast Strategic Partnership Lifelong Learning Thematic Group added: “Belfast has a first class learning and educational network and vibrant community, voluntary and business sectors which are all playing their part in establishing Belfast as a Learning City. The Belfast Learning Festival is offering just a snapshot of what Belfast has to offer and I look forward to seeing many people inspired to continue their learning journey.”
