Sam Glenn, butcher, “I’m passing on my skills and experience.”

 

Sam is a butcher on the Shankill Road, Belfast.

Butchering is the only job he has ever had. Before he left school he was working in a butcher’s shop.

Sam his craft over 45 years ago and has passed these skills on to a couple of dozen people – including William (pictured) his future son-in-law.

Sam says: “It’s a pleasure for me to pass on 45 years of experience and hopefully someone will take over from me someday.”
