Age-friendly Belfast Campaign | Eleanor & Billy’s Story

Eleanor and Billy – “I’m helping him stay in our home.”

Husband and wife, Eleanor and Billy live together in their Belfast home.

Billy is in the early stages of Dementia. Billy goes to a day centre three times a week but for the rest of the time, Eleanor cares for him, on her own.

Eleanor does everything that is necessary to help Billy, from getting ready in the morning, making food and looking after his general wellbeing.
