Making Life Better Together

‘North Belfast communities together, as a beacon of hope for our young people’

North Belfast community groups and post primary schools, supported by Belfast Strategic Partnership will host and participate in the annual all Ireland Cycle Against Suicide, to raise awareness of the considerable help and support that is available for individuals and families battling depression, self-harm, at risk of suicide or those bereaved by suicide.

The Lord Mayor and Deputy Lord Mayor of Belfast will welcome the peloton of nearly 500 cyclists all dressed in orange as they descend on Belfast City Hall at 5.30 pm on 25 April 2017.

The following day launches the next stage of the cycle where participants will cycle from Belfast to Castleblaney, stopping off for a mental health event hosted by Belfast Boys Model School. This event comprises of presentations, videos, celebrity speakers and an exhibition of local community mental health services.

You are encouraged to show your support by joining those involved at City Hall in welcoming the cyclists at 5.30 pm on 25 April, or wish them well on the next leg of their journey at Belfast Boys Model School at 10 am on 26 April.
